Number one, have a very sour sweet.
This is a sensory grounding technique and it's going to move you out of your rumination in your brain and into your sensory body.
Number two, Two, splash yourself with very cold water.
This is going to stimulate your mammalian dive reflex and is going to act again like a distraction technique and a bit of a shake up of your senses.
Number three, you're going to distract your brain by giving yourself something to do that is enough to distract you, but not enough to make you stressed.
So my favorite one is that I play car games with myself.
My favorite one is that I go through the alphabet.
Thinking of band names that begin with the.
So I would go the Animals, the Beetles, the Cure, the Damned, the Eagle, the Foo Fighters.
And then I'd go all the way through the alphabet.
And then I'd try and go through the alphabet again.
And then I'd try and go through the alphabet again.
It doesn't have to be band names.
It could be Fritz.
It could be whatever.
your heart desires, basically any kind of those games that you would play on the car for a long journey.
Just something that is enough to distract your brain, but not enough for you to feel stressed.
