Today we are on episode three, and I want to get into rebooking because I see so much clickbait right now on social media.
And I call it clickbait because I don't feel like it's a real business strategy about not booking your clients and you know you're too pre-booked or whatever this crazy stuff is and I've seen it before I'm seeing less of it now because I feel like it didn't really work that well but last year if you were around man there was so much on oh you should never pre-book your books and I still see some larger artists with big social platforms that will say they do not pre-book their books and things like that so let's get into it and we're going to talk real hairstylist stuff on real working class, regular hairstylists like we are.
Now, I know that I've seen people say, and the funny thing now is I'm definitely starting to see a tune change because someone that I saw constantly online saying, no, no, no, you should never pre-book.
And all of these things, number one, I actually am thinking of one right now that they don't even say that anymore.
But number two, another one that I saw, she now talks more that, well, she closes her books at 12 weeks, but not for her guests.
But the other guests, like if it's a new guest, they don't get to schedule out past 12 weeks.
So I'm definitely starting to see a huge shift in the industry and what people are saying.
Today we're gonna talk about your income and we're gonna talk about pre-booking.
We're gonna talk about being a sustainable business and a sustainable hairstylist.
I'm gonna give you some tangible things that you can say, some real life words that you can steal, number one, because I love that.
I hate when people say, oh, you need to pre-book, but sometimes you're saying the wrong thing.
I'm gonna give you some hints and some tips, which you guys know I love hints and tips.
we're gonna dive right into why it's important, okay? I know sometimes you feel pushy.
It's like we have to, at the end of the appointment, there's just so much sometimes and I totally get it, okay? But I want you to completely reframe this because this is building your books and this is building your income for tomorrow, okay? One of the biggest things I want you to keep in mind is the habits that you have right now are the habits that affect you in the next 60 to 90 days, always, no matter what.
So if you're eating really well, You don't usually see the benefits for a while, right? So, or if you are, you know, doing some type of a habit, the habit doesn't stick for another 60 to 90 days.
I know they say it takes 21 days to create a habit, but I don't think any of those people actually try to have it before.
