I want to talk quite a bit about about the law surrounding an event that's all over the news these days.

And, of course, it sparked a whole bunch of political discussion, and that is the shooting in Oregon.

And we had a 16-year-old armed with a pump-action shotgun, by all accounts, who... who was a former special needs student at this same school, who went to the school and threw his shotgun over a fence, climbed the fence, was observed doing that by someone driving by, the person in that vehicle driving by, yelled at him, said something to him, at which point this guy turned around and peppered that vehicle with buckshot, He used, throughout this shooting, he used three different kinds of 12-gauge ammunition.

He used birdshot and buckshot, what a lot of us call double-aught buck, and then he also used slug.

But he peppered his vehicle with some shotgun rounds and then walked along the school, went up to an external door and shot his way through that door.

by a very heroic gentleman who saw this guy shoot his way into this elementary school.

And the gentleman who observed that actually had two kids that go to that school.

He then, that is the gentleman who observed all this, he had a handgun license, but he also had a gun lawfully carried in his vehicle.

He grabbed his gun, reportedly a .40 caliber, entered the school as he continued to hear gunshots, went into...

The classroom from which he heard gunshots emanating saw a physical struggle, saw students shot.

But another hero in this whole equation was a teacher who apparently threw her cell phone at this guy.

And then charged him and was in the process of tackling him and trying to gain control of his weapon.

But this physical structure was going on between the gentleman who observed all this.
