Times are changing, so is what the tour players put in their golf bags – and perhaps what you should put in yours too. Together with Fredrik Theander, Golfstore Professional at Ljunghusens Golfkubb…
Fredrik TheanderGuestHost, The Golfstore PodcastHostChinook Hills, quite dramatic.
Did you see anything there that you fancied?

Well, I feel like what I see there is just it's a tough course where they have to do maybe some different things from what they're used to.

We saw some low, some high, some spinners, some that roll out and check a little bit.
don't i mean that's what's so interesting with the u.s open too is that you have to be patient you have to be smart you have to be strategic and that also applies to what you have in your bag
so so i mean looking at that do you see any trends what do people put in their bags now that they perhaps didn't put a few years ago i

feel like the tour players are less afraid to put different things in their bag and what I mean is some players may put something with a lot of loft that should go high and just land soft some players likes to play the low kind of rolling shot it all depends on what your game is and what you're used to and what you're comfortable with playing and also what does this course need yeah If I play Augusta, maybe I need a high and soft nine wood, seven wood, whatever it is.

If I play Shinnecock, some players might want that shot still in their bag because they can control it better.
And the kind of entrepreneurs for this, I would say, I mean, looking at Tommy Fleetwood and Adam Scott, they have both played driver, mini driver, some wood, nine wood perhaps, and also driving iron.
I mean, the top of the bag there looks very, very different than what it used to do.

It's a big difference from what we saw 10 years ago, where it was pretty much a three wood, maybe a five wood and a driving iron.

Now it's kind of... shaping up to be more of an individual, what suits me the best.
