Not branding, not an office, not a warehouse, not loads of stock, not a fleet of shiny vans.

I think one of the biggest mistakes people make when they're starting a business is spending an enormous amount of time getting ready to start.

They want the perfect website, perfect van, all the right tools, a nice office, a warehouse, stock sitting on the shelves, and everything looking like a proper established business.

And then eventually they realize they've spent thousands of pounds building a business that actually hasn't sold anything.

I'd have a website that looked professional enough to give somebody confidence.

I'd have a phone number, the right insurance, and the equipment I genuinely need to do the work.

Because ultimately, at the beginning, I don't need a huge business, I need customers.

I don't have customers recommending me and I don't have a website that's been sitting on Google for 10 years.
