I've been having some faint withdrawal symptoms from not fishing my home water right now.
But when the weather is like it is at the moment, we have to be a little bit more flexible with the species we target.
I've had some fun catching some carp, casting some mullet and enjoyed every single second of it.
It's been fun to step outside and I always feel like I need to have a fly rod in my hand at some stage.
I don't never like to leave it too long and these little diversions have been great fun.
And I feel a little bit of a fraud as I'm interviewing someone who worked for the BBC for over 30 years.
But I bumped into her at the Orvis Saltwater Festival and having spoken about it for a while, I finally got my act together.
