[gentle music] First thing always is story.
I feel like after years and years of doing this, there are intangibles that are hard to explain.
I always use the word authenticity.
Somehow even if it, you know, we can feel it.
Uh, somehow you feel the authentic storytelling when it's happening.
You can watch a movie, and now you can say, "Oh, that's an OCFF film."
Because it might be just r- weird and zany-
... or really push some boundaries that no other local film festivals will touch.
I never want to discourage filmmakers from making the film that they want to make.
If a story is important to you, if it matters to you, don't listen to what a festival director or frankly even agents and managers and all them.
Go make the film that's important to you.
