**Riding the Wave: A Contraction Visualisation** A short, powerful visualisation to use during labour itself. This practice guides you to welcome each surge as a wave, using breath and surrender to…
No entities detected.
It's time to ride the wave, welcoming this surge and contraction with open arms, knowing that it is bringing you closer to your baby.
Imagining the surge like a wave that rises and then falls.
Focus on your breath, in [inhales] and out [exhales].
In [inhales] and out [exhales].
Allowing your face to drop, your jaw to loosen, and your shoulders to relax.
And as you get to the peak of your contraction, you know that by surrendering your body and completely letting go, you are giving yourself the best chance of optimal dilation.
Focusing on your breath, knowing that you can now start to let it go.
Surrendering and letting it go.
And as it subsides, thanking it for being here and ready to welcome the next contraction.
