**Grounding for Birth: A Guided Release Exercise** A guided grounding exercise to connect you with the earth and release any emotions no longer serving you. Best practised outdoors with bare feet on…
So we're going to start off, as always, by taking a deep breath in through the nose [inhales], out through the mouth [exhales].
And just continue this and allow yourself to fill up with air and then just release it down.
Every time we take a deep breath in and then out through the mouth, I want you to really relax areas of your body, starting with your face, your jaw, your shoulders [inhales].
Breathing in [exhales] and on the out breath, just releasing your body and just letting it really, really relax [inhales].
Now I want you to just bring your awareness to your surroundings and the environment that you've chose.
This may be that you can see trees, greenery.
It might be that you are surrounded by the sea and sand.
Just take a minute to really connect with Mother Nature and everything that she is providing you right now, a space, a time to reflect.
Just notice the wind, the sun, the weather.
Are there birds chirping? Can you hear the sounds of animals? Maybe you can see animals.
I want you to take a moment to just feel underneath your feet.
What does the texture feel like? Are you standing on grass and you feel your feet firmly on the ground? Maybe you're in the sand and the sand is going in between your toes or in the water.
Just recognize how that feels in your body.
I want you to just imagine really sinking into the ground wherever you are, really anchoring those feet down.
We want to bring in this sense of security and knowing that we are being held by Mother Nature right now.
