And obviously, you know, I know that you guys work closely together, but he had a lot of very, very nice things to say about you.

But one of the things that he brought up is that you're always learning and that you're always working.

I think that sometimes head coaches and it doesn't matter if you're a head coach of like a youth rec team or a junior team or college team or pro team.

I think sometimes and I've been guilty of this is that we can get set in our ways and feel like, OK, you know, with the way that I understand the game now, like I don't need to learn anything.

I, I know that I still need to learn things, but, uh, it was kind of, you know, a lot of people consider you to be, you know, one of the best coaches down here.

Um, But I guess what I was trying to say is like, you know, what do you do to learn more? Like I said, the game changes every year.

Now, I don't know a lot about baseball or basketball or football or any of that, but I feel like it's changing really, really quickly year by year.

And that if you don't stay up to date with, you know, how the game is evolving, then you're going to be kind of lost or set back.

that we're getting on with an NHL coach, a couple college coaches, D3 and D1, and some USHL guy, and a couple guys in our league.

you gotta you gotta take your own development too and coaching as well like the players do as well they gotta watch more hockey games if they want to play at the junior level they gotta watch junior hockey

wanna get better i gotta like take it from the nhl guys from the from the college guys if i'm trying to get my guys ready to play college like what kind of nuances are you doing what what little details i might know 95 of the stuff but i might get one little thing from them and that's bank that's huge for me and now i can take it back to my guys and it makes our team better if we can get one percent better we're gonna do it so um i i just i love the game i love learning from other people i love i'm i'm kind of a drill person i love like boring drills or taking drills from them and and uh putting your own twist on them

Yeah, well, and one of the things that I've gotten from you and a lot of people that respect you as a coach is I really feel like there's a lot of drills and whether this is private lessons or practices, I feel like a lot of the drills have just started to look the same.
