I feel like I talk a lot about systematizing your business, automating, delegating, deleting things that aren't important, and streamlining everything else.
I recently shared that I flew my whole family to South Africa and back in upgraded seats, but basically for free.
And it was so funny because I was talking about using miles and I was on a call and it wasn't even the point of this call, obviously, and immediately in the chat.
I started getting messages of, wait, how do you have that many miles? And yes, I travel a fair amount to speak at conferences, but honestly, that is not where I get my miles from.
Most of those points and miles come from what I lovingly refer to as my lazy girl travel strategy.
here's the thing right i talk all the time about efficiency in our business simplifying systematizing automating delegating and really deciding that we don't have to do all of the things and we just don't give ourselves enough permission or we don't in the same way that we focus on this stuff in our businesses we don't necessarily focus on this in our home lives too and we do not have to become an expert at everything we don't need to know credit card hacks i didn't want to learn transfer partners i didn't want to learn about bonus categories or spend my Sunday nights trying to figure out how to squeeze an extra half a point out of buying groceries.
I have zero interest in making credit card strategy or something like that my second job.
But about a year and a half ago, I did decide that I wanted to take advantage of some of this stuff, right? I wanted the free flights.
And I went on a hunt for what is like my 80, 20 version of this, right? I wanted a ridiculously simple strategy that I could set up once.
In fact, if you are a travel hacking ninja, this episode will probably make you cringe.
And about how I earn points and travel perks with very little ongoing thought or effort, because sometimes the best system, it's not the one that really squeezes every single possible thing out of the benefit, right? It's the one that you actually use.
And This episode is just not only one to share the strategy that I'm using, but two to show you like there's all these simple automations and tools and things that exist out there that help you in your home life.
So maybe this episode will give you a couple of ways of getting your family to travel and enjoy that margin in space.
We work so hard to build these amazing businesses that sometimes we forget and And mine is travel.
But sometimes we forget that we worked really hard at building this thing so that we could live a beautiful life filled with all of the other stuff that we want to do that makes us whole people.
