Body recomposition is slow. It's supposed to be slow. And if you've been doing the work for weeks or months and find yourself wondering why the changes aren't showing up faster, this episode is for…
And what I'm seeing a lot of right now is continually questioning the process and continually wondering why isn't it going faster? Shouldn't I be seeing results faster? So today I'm going to talk about how long it really takes to get results and what that actually is supposed to look like.
Body recomposition, when we are talking about dropping body fat, building lean muscle tissue, getting that visible muscle definition, feeling strong, all those things, right? The sculpted shape that we're after.
This takes time.
It has to be strategic.
It's going to be slow.
And the changes are going to be subtle.
And this is something that I think all of you need to hear and you need to listen to me very closely.
And I know what you're thinking.
You're like, okay, yeah, Cassie, I know that.
And you're going to turn this off and go to something else.
No, you need to stay and listen to this.
You really do.
Because as many of you who say, oh, I know, I know, it's going to take time.
I know it's going to take time.
You're also then turning around the next week and saying, well, why don't I see changes in my progress photos yet? And you've been doing it for like three weeks, OK, or even three months.
And you're like, why, why, why is this? Why don't I have, you know, a six pack yet, Cassie? Because it's been three months, OK? And so we're going to have a really honest conversation today.
And I'm going to be really direct with you.
And it's because I love you.
It's because I care.
It's because I am so tired of women being misinformed, misguided and fed so much bullshit.
in the fitness industry.
I mean, this has been happening for years, right? Diet culture has conditioned us to believe that weight loss and body transformation is supposed to happen rapidly.
But at the same time, like we hear we've been hearing this for years, right? Like we have been mismarketed to whatever you want to call it, just misguided with all of the marketing that's out there telling us that weight loss should be rapid, that you should be seeing changes week to week, that you should continually see the scale go down.
And if those things aren't happening, that this isn't working for you.
And at the same time, we also know and have many of us have experienced when you do lose weight rapidly, when you do have massive changes very quickly, your body always responds by rejecting that process and you gain the weight back and then some.
