It's very obvious that there are certain people in your life that play a very key role in, in making you who you are.

You can give them a chance, an opportunity, for example, to pitch at the AFS Award during the Youth Assembly.

You can really just show them that you take their ideas seriously, um, and that really helps open a door for them.

So you simply make a young person feel that they belong in the room, and they weren't sure, uh, that they had earned space there.

But the fact that you're giving-- you're making that gesture, they feel welcomed, and they feel like they, they can actually join and have a seat at that, at that, in that, in that room.

And that's probably the biggest leadership lesson I feel like I've carried with me throughout my career.

If you're in a position to make someone's path a little easier, do it, right? Because you may think it's a small thing and it might not matter a lot, but you have no idea what that person might do with the door that you've opened for them
