So what happened in that kind of immediate aftermath of his injury, he ended up having a fall and getting a pretty bad concussion and a skull fracture, actually.

The good news, though, is that it was a linear, non-displaced, non-depressed fracture of his skull.

So outside of, you know, following general concussion protocols, we're not looking at having to do anything more in depth with neurosurgery or anything.

There's some secondary effects that we've been juggling with some amazing therapists and working with.

The last month has been a lot, but you know, what was interesting though, is that for about a month, this last month, when I was going through and focusing on everything that I could do to support my son as he recovered from his injury, it was really stressful.

Had been a while since I had felt that feeling, but it did remind me of another period of parenthood that also involved obsessing over my child's head.

Now he had positional plagiocephaly, which is flat head from position in utero.

And if you ever have had a baby with a flat spot on their head, you might know exactly what I'm talking about.
