“Fake Apologies”- Listen to my Morning Monologue: I’m sharing my take on pressing issues, enlightening research on human behavior, answering questions I get by email, and my favorite, most instructive…
I believe most of you pick the wrong choice, which leads you to suffer on and on and on forever because everybody has people in their lives who apologize for the same thing over and over and over.
They say they're sorry, but after the 252nd time, we know, gee, I don't think this apology is sincere.
One, live with the over and over and over and over, or hold the person accountable.
Now, holding the person accountable can go in two different directions also.
Only way to hold the person accountable is to not show anger, not show resentment, 'cause the minute you do that, they get defensive.
And explain to that person the impact of you saying you won't blank or you will blank, and then not following through, lying time after time, is that I'm assuming you don't wanna be close.
I mean, I'm assuming you're doing these things for a reason, just these reasons seem a little odd to me.
If you want me to believe that everything else in your life besides me or us is more important than us, [laughs] you're succeeding.
Most of the time, this is nice, nice little psychological we'll give this a shot.
You can either go back to the beginning of my little commentary and just accept that that's the way it is and work around it, and I tell people to do that all the time.
