Beyond the recruiting fees, which we know the recruiting, training, which are, are extensive, what's the true cultural and operational cost of normalizing high turnover?

I think you lose the integrity and the excellence in just about every system that you have, uh, when you ignore the cost of turnover.

Uh, customer engagement is, is damaged and, and just the, the trust that you're hoping to build in a community.

I mean, Mick, you know, we, we live in a, a relatively small community where you see the same faces.

You, you lose it and, and trying to dig that back, uh, or gain that back is really difficult and, um, I, I think, uh, [laughs] sometimes very consequential.

So how can a leader distinguish between a genuinely poor hire and a system that's given in the way that even a great hire will fail?

Um, you know, the way I like to frame hiring is... and so I, I say that because I think there's some frameworks that I, I've gotta talk through, at least as, as far as I, my perspective of things.

Uh, do they have the minimum skill requirement that I require for that role? And that becomes a yes or a no.
