You don't fear posting—you fear who might be watching. In this episode of The Divorce Revolution Podcast, I'm talking about the real reason so many coaches hold back from being fully visible…

So today I want to talk about something that I, you know, I did a post not that long ago, a few weeks ago that really got some good engagement and really a lot of coaches who were raising their hand and saying, you know, me too, right? Like this is something that I definitely struggle about or struggle with.

And I think this idea that I think a lot of coaches assume that their visibility, meaning like getting eyes on their content, you know, people finding them is really like a confidence problem, right? Sometimes they think like, oh, well, you know, I just need to get over imposter syndrome or I just need to become more confident on camera like this is the problem or whatever.

You know, whatever it is that you're telling yourself as far as like, you know, if you feel like you're holding yourself back from being visible, right? So it's not just even about like people seeing your content.

It's also about, I think, some of the hesitations around making yourself visible, right? About telling your story, about, you know, getting on camera, you know, whatever that looks like.

And I think after working with so many women and also going through this myself, you know, I don't really think that that's the issue, right? I don't think that if you've got some fear around being visible, I don't think it's necessarily a confidence issue.

You know, and oftentimes, too, it's not this fear of like, I think we can tell ourselves like we're afraid that like of being judged, right, of being judged by strangers.

If we have a block about being visible and we've got some fear around it, it's more so probably there's fear about somebody specific.

seeing it, right? Maybe it's the ex-husband who occasionally checks your profile, or it's your sister-in-law, or it's the mom from the school pickup, right? Or it's the old co-worker, okay? Or it's the family member that happens to always have opinions, right? I think that, you know, really, if we're, like I said, if we're honest, it's really not the strangers that are the problem.

And I think there's this kind of underlying fear of like, well, what are they going to think of me? And whatever story it is that you're telling yourself, right, around like what is it that they're going to think of me or, you know, or even like making up a narrative.

And I say making up intentionally because truthfully, unless they've said that to you, you are making it up.

You're assuming that they're going to say things like, oh, what, you know, who is she to do that? And, you know, oh, my gosh, who does she think she is and all of that.

OK, I want to pack this a little bit today because I can tell you that when you can get over the fear or you can stop giving a shit what anybody else thinks, that's when your business is going to change.

That is when everything that's when you're going to start getting more vulnerable.

That's when you're going to start standing out because you actually have an opinion on things and you're not sounding like everybody else, and especially in this world of so heavy AI.
