And so one of the women that came shared was talking about her struggle with losing weight and how she's doing everything quote unquote right.
And I'm like, well, can you talk me through that a little bit more? And she said, I'm eating my protein.
And I'm like, okay, well, it sounds like your body's pretty happy where it is, but your brain isn't.
Our body, your body does not give a fuck what your brain wants or that you want to lose weight.
Your body's job is to keep you alive, is to survive, is to keep you going through the world.
That is, at a primal level, looking through the lens of evolution, which you kind of have to do to a degree with this, that's what your body cares about.
It's only your brain that cares about losing weight and the way that you look.
And if your body's not good, it's going to do what it needs to do to take care of it, or it's going to let you know, and it's going to say, hey, this thing, this is not going well.
Yes, there absolutely are people for whom losing weight would make them healthier.
Right now I'm talking to the group of people who are, I wanna lose two pounds, three pounds, five pounds, 10 pounds, maybe even like 15 pounds.
Maybe they even wanna lose more, but don't actually quote unquote need to lose more.
