Georgia vs Oklahoma Preview with Davin Bellamy

Oklahoma coming in between the hedges this Saturday, 3.30 kickoff.

It's going to be nice.

I would say just maybe just over 80 degrees, I think, at kickoff.

That's starting to feel more like fall weather.

Right, at football.

With that being said, though, we haven't played Oklahoma many times at all.

So this could be a big-time matchup just because we haven't played them.

So first time for them coming into Athens.

What are your expectations just for the environment, the atmosphere? I think even if Oklahoma struggled, I think this game is going to be wild.

No, man, I agree, man.

I think the fans are going to be ready just simply because this is the first true test of the season.

We had Arkansas last week, but you already had their fans.

boycotting them, they lost to Utah 45-10, and wasn't really a match for Georgia, especially when you talk about the front seven.

So I think the fans are gonna be ready, and they're ready to see how our dogs really are.

There's been a lot of positive talk, is this the best team since this? And with the numbers they're putting up, you can't argue, but the competition has just not been there.

One thing I learned from Coach Smart, what he always used to say is you never use the rhetoric of this team lost to this team and we beat this team, so we're going to beat them.

know, that's not the property is deadly.

Yeah, you know, that's not that's not how we were raised in a Coach Smart, you know, program.

So I don't really judge anybody.

John Mateer versus what he did versus Utah, or I don't judge what they did versus Michigan.

Everybody plays their best game against Georgia, and John Mateer at one point last year was in the talks for the Heisman before he broke his thumb.

So what game is he going to try to get back to being himself that acquired all the doubters? It's going to be against Georgia in a Coach Mark Glenn Schumann-led defense.

So he's going to come in there with his hair on fire, So I'm expecting a good game, and it's a true test for our line of scrimmage.

I mean, when you look at Oklahoma, they got some good pass rushers.
