When coding agents can produce changes faster than you can inspect them, what does a useful code review look like? In this Fresh from the Oven episode, Marco walks us through his agentic development…
You can't say if it's me or someone else.
But yeah, so the question is, do you still review code or you just commit and yolo it? Whatever your agent produces, you just merge it.
Okay, just an easy question to start with.
I like it.
Well, like everything in software engineering, it depends,
So there's some projects where I still create the code because I'm still keeping some stewardship in that.
But there's some that I just yolo it and I don't care what the code is.
I just care about... how the thing is structured at the beginning.
So like the part of reviewing is reviewing the plan, reviewing the structure, the architecture, database table, things like that.
And then reviewing the output.
So basically testing what's the thing is doing.
But in the middle part, then... whatever I just it's it's cool but yeah I don't need everything but yeah for some for some for some others like um more mature project maybe or of course at work I still I still review the code but yeah there is something evolving it's I mean it will never it will not stay like this for for long uh I think but yeah that's another topic
