Send us Fan Mail This week on the ole pod john: Non sports fans pretending to be elated about soccer, jamborees in Jersey, bands that bend the times…
No entities detected.

Also, the segues directly into the first thing I want to talk about this week, which is the wildly irritating non-sports fans who don't care about football or basketball or baseball or hockey.
Maybe they're doing intellectual or cerebral pursuits or something, or maybe they play chess or something, which is all fine and dandy.
Obviously, you're a dumb American like the rest of us, and you want to infuse your personhood with some sort of elitist, European, sophistication, erudite.
You know, it's like, oh, they don't give a shit about sports except for a World Cup, except for the one where you have to be, you know, knowledgeable about other countries' teams.
And, well, I'm just, you know, I'm more of an old art world European, you know, aficionado.
