Unrecovered War Casualties Army is one of the Australian Army's most enduring responsibilities.

It investigates the cases of soldiers who died during past conflicts, but were never recovered, identified, or provided with a known grave.

So in this episode, we discuss the role of the unrecovered war casualties, how the team investigates cases more than 70 or 100 years after the event, the challenges of conducting a recovery operation on a battlefield, and what this work means for the families of the missing, and for the soldiers serving in today's army.
