Linda GoldfarbGuestBecky HarlingHostI just love that so much, you know, and I, I, we're, we're in the middle of a series on anxiety.
And I know for a lot of moms out there that maybe are in the middle of going through a divorce or separating or trying to decide what to do.
Can you share a story from your own journey about a time when anxiety was great for you?

We are not immune to anxiety and the children of God are not immune to anxiety.

And with all of my children now who are all grown adults and, I think one of the toughest anxiety-filled moments or seasons for me was holding back as I watched my child adulting.

And they're still adulting now, but it was the holding back, the anxiety that I would feel inside of, oh my gosh, if they would just listen.

Oh, if I could just structure stuff and I'll let them know, and then I'll just tell them.

But I discovered, Becky, is when we invite our thoughts into the lives of our children, The anxiety goes up on both sides and nothing is satisfied.

And that for me was and continues because I they will always be our kids my oldest turns 50 the day after i turn 70. and my word he is six foot four and he will come in and sit on my lap and say hey mom and i look at him and i'm going what are you doing he goes it's one of my favorite places and they will always be your children And you will always be their mother, but the role of mothering changes.
My own journey of anxiety, I feel like I had a lot of anxiety around their safety when they were little, you know, and I had a lot of anxiety about around their safety, even in college.
You know, we sent our two oldest off to college without cell phones or anything.
