When she arrived for a coaching session a few weeks ago, I asked her what she wanted to talk about, which is a standard way that I open up a coaching session, you know, kind of what's on your mind, what do you want to dig into? And she did not hesitate.

So I said to her, what's going on? So she explained that she'd been wanting to upgrade her point of sale system for a while and her team had been using the current one for years.

She said everyone is so comfortable with it and she'd anticipated that there would be some resistance to change.

especially a significant change like a point of sale system and the fact that they had been using it for a really long time and people were really comfortable so yes naturally of course we're going to anticipate some resistance so she did what she always does when especially when she anticipates there's going to be some resistance she said i brought the whole team in And she said, I wanted everyone to agree on whether they were even making the switch before a full commitment was made.

I talked to them about the fact that I was thinking about an upgrade of our point of sale system.

And, um, before she said, I even wanted to start seriously looking at what all the various options were.

At the end of the day, basically at the end of this meeting, she said, everybody agreed.

She said, I wanted to get their input on things like what features mattered most.

What did we need to be prioritizing? What did the new system need to do? What kind of reports did they want to run? All of those kinds of things.

She wanted their input before even choosing the final platform and really wanted to factor it in to her decision making.

So, of course, she knew that different people would want to have different things and She said it was interesting.
