Send us Fan Mail This is Danielle's story. Just a few hours of her life but it made a big impact on me, her Aunt Jeni. This is a quick bonus…
So the other day I went to the water park with my sister, mom, and two of my nieces, one of which is seven years old.
She is starting second grade this year.
Oh my gosh.
I can't time go so fast.
She is tall enough to ride the big water slides and at this specific pool she'd only gone on one of them.
She was scared of the others.
This time She said she was going to go on the other slide and face her fear.
She literally said that.
Face my fear.
I had to actually double check with my sister that that really came out of her mouth.
It's just such a mature statement.
And I believe she's an old soul, but still.
So my niece climbed by herself all the way to the top of the scary slide and went down and she loved it.
She said it was fun and she wasn't scared of it anymore.
And she did it a couple more times.
Then it was my turn.
She wanted to go on this other slide where two people sit in a raft type thing and they go down a slide and then up an incline.
That's kind of like a runaway truck ramp sort of thing.
And then slide back down to a pool where you get out.
And the weight has to be 100 pounds.
So she could not go by herself, meaning Aunt Jenny gets to go.
I was a little scared to go on that slide, but also honestly pretty curious because it looked fun and pretty safe.
Although in my head, we were going to get flipped right on out of that tube onto the concrete, even though I have never seen nor heard of that happening.
I'm sure it could though, but I just haven't heard of it.
If it has, don't tell me.
