A few months ago, I had this exceptional opportunity to work with this fantastic executive team inside of a company.

They brought me in to help them lead through some, I would say, intense change initiatives.

During our discovery call, they specifically stated to me that their people seem to always be resisting change.

And what they were looking for some assistance was, "Man, how, how do we get our people to embrace change in a better way?" [lips smack] Because they had a lot of change initiatives that were coming up.

I began to learn pretty quickly that the issue was not that people were resisting change.

Have you been there? Listen, as I would meet with this executive team, I would hear them say different buzzwords like, "Listen, um, you know, i- if you're not changing, you're dying," and, "Hey, change is good," and, "What we need is we need to reinvent ourselves." Y'all have heard these buzzwords and all this, right? Now, look, I agree with all of those things in context.

However, the risk that we run is if we begin making changes for the sake of making changes, that can be a very slippery slope, and this is exactly what was happening with this client.
