But I will say this, since that book came out, I have had thousands of conversations with leaders.

And there is this recurring comment that keeps surfacing that I just can't avoid.

And it's this comment of, hey, Jeff, I know now after reading your book, being in your workshops, listening to your keynote, I now have a more firm footing on how to give better feedback.

How do I get better at receiving it? And furthermore, how can I help the people that I'm leading get better at receiving feedback as well? Because there's this tension point where leaders say, look, I'm giving it all that I have.

to make sure that I'm creating a culture where leaders are driving effective feedback into the organization.

But Jeff, despite my best efforts, I just feel like people aren't receiving the feedback the right way.

It doesn't matter how skilled a leader becomes at delivering feedback if the people receiving it don't know what to do with that feedback.

Every relationship, every career, every marriage, every friendship, every championship, every successful organization has this one thing in common.

Someone was willing to hear something that they didn't necessarily want to hear.
