This week the Noonas checked out the new Korean Movie on Netflix "Wild Sing." What did they think of this satirical take on 2nd Gen Kpop Idols? Press play to find out if the movie was a hit or miss…
today uh we decided to take like a nice chill time and this is a sort of like a spoilery episode but it won't start as a spoiler episode for a new movie which is on netflix uh called wild sing and it is sort of a uh satirical look at 90s idols where are they now comedy is the best way i can describe it
yeah
um and uh i went in only knowing the meme like of uh i didn't want a preview or anything like i i just i did my usual just do it
do a blind thing that i do um the meme that you saw was the ojung say the ojung

and i i knew nothing else i didn't even know who was
in it except for did you see the like flash mob situation they did yes it was oh but like i literally i
literally had no idea who was in the cast of this movie so every single person showing up was a big surprise for me
Yeah, I didn't know anything about it going in.
And I literally, I feel like I spent the first, like, I don't know, maybe even 80% of this movie just going, what am I watching? The first 20 minutes, for sure.
I was like, what are we doing? What is the...
Because it's just, like you said, satirical.
And I was like, are we being serious? Is it funny? Like, am I...
Where are we right now? And then as it kind of goes, you're like, okay, this is clearly a comedy, but yeah.
This is not meant to be taken seriously at
any stage.
Very much so.
And I think that's part of the point of it, but I did feel like I spent probably 70 to 80% of it going, what am I watching? What are we doing right now? But I think that's kind of the point.
It's kind
of like, what? I had...
I had followed this super closely.
I had...
They had released their music, the Triangle music video... a month or whatever before they released it to theaters.
I was on this.
