54 - I Don't Feel Like Myself Anymore: Women, Hormones & Cannabis with Dr. Shabnam Sarshar.

So I'm in Melbourne.

I actually traveled down at the end of last week, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute whirlwind.

Having three kids and trying to get the washing done and the cooking done is always a bit of a task, and mom reminded me that I have an 18-year-old and that I don't need to be doing everything for her, so I've let myself go, and I didn't even leave enough food I don't think and thought, "Well, I guess they've got to learn survival somewhere, hey?" [laughs] It's been a lot of phone calls.

But I did bring the youngest one down because I believe that a week with nana does more for anyone than a week at school, and she has been crocheting, she's been baking, she's been using her creative skills and making things and drawing and, you know, to be able to see that relationship of, with my daughter and my mom, honestly it just brings me a whole heap of joy.

And so I've been here for the launch of a new dispensary.

Well, it's actually, it's not new.

Uh, it's been open for a little while, but we had an open day for Vert Dispensary.

It was absolutely wonderful to come down and be a part of that and see the community come together, and quite a few people in the industry to celebrate the opening of Vert.

So that was a beautiful Sunday, very, very well spent.

I love coming down to Melbourne 'cause I get to catch up with some absolutely phenomenal women and I managed to catch up with my beautiful friend Bea, who is a parliamentary advisor, and then s- had a chat to Rachael Payne from the Legalise Cannabis Party, and we've done a Terpene Tuesday together.

But also, uh, she's done a video explaining the cautioning, uh, and what's happened in Victoria, which is pretty amazing and, you know, I think as I've said on my socials, no one sees the hours and the work that Rachael puts in and, and then on top of that gives back to the community.

So always great to catch up and see her.

I also got to meet Claude from Satinka this week.

Now, Satinka has been running for about five years, and if anyone knows what accessory you need for your vaporizer or how to clean your vaporizer, it's Claude.

Like I, I learnt some things, I got a new piece for my Mighty and, yeah, absolutely give them a follow.

And I also got to catch up with the lovely Shani, who runs Azure Clinic, which is my clinic.

And we had a coffee and it was just lovely that, um, that you know, that we had the time to catch up.

All of this female energy and all of this supporting each other and this positive I love because it outweighs any negative.

Like last week I was speaking about women supporting women because, you know, I just, I don't understand when, when women try to tear each other down.

It is not the place I would ever like to be and, you know, all of this joy and support absolutely outshines it and there is enough sun for everyone.
