This month's money mood, well, the money mood for May was, I've called it getting my ducks in a row.
If you missed my announcement of sorts in last month's monthly wrap, you may have missed the fact that I am welcoming my baby girl in a few weeks' time.
But yeah, so that has been, you know, as I near that big change, that new chapter, that's kind of been dominating most of the way that I run my life, [laughs] money and business at the moment.
It was sort of, like, that nesting instinct didn't really kick in [laughs] for me.
I talked on social media recently about, like, how are people renovating? I see people, like, eight months pregnant renovating a bathroom, and a lot of the comments were like, "Do not underestimate the nesting instinct when you're pregnant." And I was like, [laughs] "Little do you know." [laughs] I am pregnant, and here I am lying on the couch, enjoying my silence while I can.
I was getting a bit nervous about, like, oh my God, how are we gonna have time to do everything? 'Cause we need to, like...
You know, we're not doing any hectic room decorating or anything like that, but just, sort of like we'd scraped off some, um, oil-based paint off of the, like, door frames and we just needed to, like, repaint those white.
That we were meant to have done when we moved in, but moving in was so chaotic that we didn't get around to doing it, and we just haven't ever got around to painting them.
Um, we wanted to switch our bed out, so I got a king bed, um, recently, and we wanted to ditch our queen bed and put the king bed in, 'cause, you know, you start having kids in your bed and you want more space, and I'm getting more and more pregnant and irritable.
So I just decided, you know what? I think it's time in our marriage to be 20 centimeters further apart at night.
We needed to move our sofa bed from what will be the baby's room into what is now gonna be the office come spare room.
