The Monthly Wrap April

[fingers snap] Okay, so the monthly mood.

What was the vibe of my finances last month? To be honest, it was kind of an even split between not a lot going on, but also chasing my tail a bit.

[laughs] It was a very low-key month in terms of spending.

Like, I didn't do a lot.

I even messaged a friend the other day and I was like, "God, I am really"...

The sort of day-to-day discretionary spending is really low at the moment, and I will come onto why shortly.

Um, but then some other things that happened that we'll talk about are sort of what...

There were some unexpected costs and some...

You know, I think when you've got your money quite compartmentalized and you've got your day-to-day spending that's very, very separate from sort of bigger things, [sighs] um, or, like, health expenses or whatever, sometimes, like, one area of your spending can feel, or- or your finances can feel really quite chill and under control, and then another area or area's wheel is, like, spinning, like it's stuck in mud, you know? [laughs] That's sort of what's happening.

All of my day-to-day stuff, the stuff that usually runs away with me, you know, the bits and pieces that you grab or even groceries or, um, gift spending or whatever, that was all really under control.

It was a very, very quiet month in that sort of, you know, recreational sense, leisure sense.

But I had some health stuff pop up and just, like, some things fell due, and I made some kinda big purchases, and it was just an odd...

Looking at it, I was like, "Wow, really not that much happened, but a lot came out my account." But some of it, like, I, it was all, you know, I- I knew it was happening.

And yeah, it's just one of those weird ones.
