Podcast Episode 44. We discuss the new Harley-Davidson Deadwood, the specs, what we like and who we think this bike is built for. We also talk the latest King of Baggers results from Laguna Seca as…
Big ZHostIt seems to be now we're two weeks out from the Deadwood release.
Your thoughts.
I sent you that video of the release that they just dropped the new Deadwood.
Your first impressions before we go over any of the bikes.

It definitely is very Harley, looks very much what you think of as a motorcycle whenever you hear the name Harley-Davidson.
I think that it is a great place for the platform.
You've got to be able to use...
the same platform to do multiple things um they're in the old dyna and it's success and we're dyna people um but the soft tail is a platform um you've got the low rider the low rider s the low rider st you've got to be able to use those platforms of a frame the geometry different motors harley has the different 117s now between the classic and the high output so you can put different motor configurations in things But to not have to R&D frames all the time and R&D swing arms and suspension, that is killer.
And I think that the Deadwood, It's a stripped down, and people are gonna say it's a blend between, you know, you've heard a lot of people say, it looks like a Heritage Classic and a Softail Slim had a baby.
There are a lot of people that miss the Slim.
I think the Heritage Classic's always gonna have a place in Harley.
If they say they're getting rid of the Heritage Classic, I think you'd see more and more people go nuts.
But I think that bike looks very Heritage Classic, very Softail Deluxe.
It gives people a lot of freedom.
You can make that bike your own.
Yeah.
The price point we're going to get into is amazing for that platform of bike.
And then we're going to come down through there and do the specs of who, and then we'll talk about who we think this bike appeals to.
But you've got the Vivid Black.
