As summer comes to an end and life begins to pick up again, it's easy to worry that you'll lose the slower, more present version of yourself you worked so hard to find. But what if you didn't have…
Seasons change and every single season has such a beautiful moment to it, a memory to it, a sense feeling of what we experience as we live each season.
Especially as a mom, you can look back at all these seasons where your children are in these different stages.
newborn, young toddler, as they grow and you cherish these sweet, precious moments.
And it can be hard when you get to the next stage and you get to the next season because it's easy to grieve and long for what has passed, right? But of course, there's always this beautiful reminder that there's still good and exciting things to come ahead.
And so I just want to take a moment and I want to normalize what it is that you are feeling.
whether you are stepping back into the classroom, whether your kids are going to elementary school for the first time, whether you are heading back to work after your vacation, or you are simply starting a brand new work week while the rest of the world around you is pressing begin again.
transitions can feel big and they can feel scary and they can feel overwhelming.
It can be hard sometimes to feel like the world is happening so quickly around you and that you're not in control.
And so I want to make sure you know right now, as we start off this beautiful day, that the things you feel are so incredibly important.
Okay.
The way you feel, how you feel, the level of your emotions, you are not wrong.
You are not less than for feeling how you feel, right? Your heart is so important.
And the way you feel things is what makes you you.
So please do not ever feel bad or less than for feeling from your heart because it's what makes you human, okay? You can be excited, right? Even when we talk about transitions, sometimes people tend to think that a transition is a bad thing, but a lot of times transitions can be really good.
It can be the necessary to movement forward, right? The necessary progress to get to that next level of self.
And even in the good transitions, right? It's normal to be excited and it's normal to be overwhelmed and anxious and nervous and even thankful and appreciative for, you know, the new change.
And you can feel all of these things at the same time.
And so just take a moment right now to allow yourself to take a what it is that you are feeling and if you feel that tightness in your shoulders and your chest because you're not exactly sure what it is that you're feeling but you know there's a ball of emotions mixed together take a moment and unpack it figure out why are you feeling the things you're feeling Are you excited? Are you overwhelmed? Are you sad? Right? All these things can be so incredibly normal and we really need to make sure we normalize more than ever acknowledging and owning our feelings.
And so what I want to share with you today, is a message that's for you as well as for me, since this is a transition for myself included.
And it can be hard.
I'm not going to lie.
It can be hard when you have such a sweet summer with your little ones.
And then you know that you're going back into the school year schedule where you are separated from them during the day and you're doing your thing and they're getting all their care and love poured into them at their school.
But it can be hard.
It can be an adjustment.
