Next, I work for a national home builder and I wanted to pass along some information.
I recently wrote about one of our company's solar projects.
After three years, due to supply and infrastructure issues, we officially came online June 22nd with a 1.1 megawatt of solar power.
Our system, 1.1 megawatt.
That is...
Small-scale utility, great.
I mean, a GE 1.5 XL wind turbine is 1.5 megawatts.
Now... 1.1 megawatts, if you figure 10 kilowatts per house, you're talking 100 houses, 100 homes.
So that's not a small system.
It's also not gigante.
So our system is designed to feed the grid.
Okay, so back fed into the grid.
Either with a power purchase agreement or net metering.
That's a little tiny baby deer.
But it's a baby deer.
There's usually a mommy deer.
Please don't run into my truck.
So...
If the power outage, if there's a power outage, we will be without power because it's feeding the grid, not their personal infrastructure.
Everything was going good until September 3rd when the system went down.
No one could explain as to why.
Say the line with me.
Okay.
