So, yeah, Assurance America, a US auto insurance provider, confirmed a data breach this week exposing personal information for just under seven million people.
This is the largest driver's license data spill disclosed so far this year, and there's been a few.
The stolen data includes names, contact details, driver's license numbers, and insurance policy details, vehicle and claims information, alongside Social Security numbers and tax ID details.

And yeah, the intrusion started with a phishing attack that stole the login credentials of one single employee.
So the company detected the breach on March the 17th, but they didn't finish the investigation until June the 15th, and notification letters only began going out to affected customers on July the 10th.
And within a day of that being announced, a class action lawsuit, a class action investigation was announced.
So obviously someone, some lawyer has gone, "There's seven million people here that can get in a class action lawsuit, and we're gonna serve-
