First off, I'd like to ask, what was the impetus for looking into this topic?

I think the main thing for us was the number of femoral neck fractures continues to increase.

We see this at our facilities.

You know, we're, we're a large, uh, a, a large practice that incorporates urban and suburban, uh, populations.

Um, and there's oftentimes some contentious battles about who should do what, uh, for these patients, when should they get done.

Um, you know, we all get delayed and, and held by medicine or the optimization of these patients that really can't be optimized very much, and just trying to figure out the, what does the data show from our practice in terms of when should they be treated and when shouldn't they be treated, or who should be taking care of them.

Um, so that was really the impetus because w- we haven't really made a lot of progress of that.

The academy guidelines recommend treatment within twenty-four to forty-eight hours, uh, when the patient's optimized.

But if you think about it, that's a pretty wide window for someone who's, you know, ninety-five.

Um, they only have so many days left, and, you know, we're, we're, we're, we're delaying things sometimes on, on great accord based on, you know, theory, uh, but we don't, didn't have any data to support that.
