10/8/26 - DEAD MEN WALKING, MARXISM ON THE RUN

So another big case that comes out of the courtroom and almost into a science fiction novel is the Christa Pike-

No

... failed execution in Tennessee.

She's back conscious again, David.

She is back conscious again.

This is the woman who, uh, lured a victim to her death-

[laughs]

... tortured her victim, uh, over a, a, an a, a disagreement about a boyfriend.

Now she was set to be executed.

She was administered what was supposed to be a lethal cocktail of drugs by lethal injection.

She complained of arm pain.

Some believe she may have blown out a vein.

It did not result in the termination of her life.

She's back conscious.

David Pollack, what, what chapter of the book are we in if we're botching the executions?

I d- I don't even know.

You know, I've covered this extensively, and there's a lot of different theories we can go with.

Uh, one, it's just negligence because this is the second person they botched an execution o- of just this year in Tennessee.

Um, there was another man they tried to execute, same exact problem.

He- they couldn't get it right.

Lethal injection is very, uh, inconsistent as far as a execution method.

It's failed multiple times.

It's botched more than any other execution method, which is why people are trying to come up with other options for executions.

Uh, interestingly enough, though, uh, I started covering-

Are, are you for capital punishment?
