10/1/26 - MESSAGE FAIL?

And I am joined now by the aforementioned Pearson Sharp and David Pollack.

And the big story this week, it looked like an action movie.

A fly Dubai flight from the United Arab Emirates to Israel, an attempted hijacking, it seems, by the co-pilot who stabbed the pilot and then plummeted the aircraft 14,000 feet in a matter of seconds.

Ultimately, the aircraft had a damaged rudder as a consequence, and regular passengers who were pilots took control of the plane during that descent, saving 170 people who were on board.

What I know is that if I were on an aircraft and there were no actual trained pilots, the one man with the Indiana Jones skills on the planet Earth to save all 170 people would be Pearson Sharp.

Pearson.

What do you make of this attempted hijacking?

I mean, I did spend a good number of years of my youth playing Microsoft Flight Simulator.

I would hope those hours would come to good use.

I mean, it's terrifying.

It's terrifying to imagine that something like this could happen.

You always wonder when you hear about this, what you would do in that situation.

How would you respond? Would you be the guy sitting next to him who would leap on this guy and fight back? I don't know.

I have no idea.

You want to think that you would be.

But clearly, we needed some more air marshals on that plane at this point.

David? I mean,

the guy

chanted

death to America.

Yeah.

So, I mean, which is weird because the flight was going to Israel.

So it tells you just how dangerous this is because this was a pilot.

I mean, it's not like some guy who was in the ninth row that forced his way into the cockpit.

Weird.
