The conversation delves into the challenges of payments in Acumatica, the impact of delayed payments implementation, pain points and stakeholders, evaluating solutions and future planning, and the…
You know, when clients are implementing a new ERP system, right, when they're going live, there's so much change that's happening that I think that the payments piece is kind of assumed to be something kind of simple and easy, and it gets kind of lost in the shuffle.
There's so many third-party products that integrate with Acumatica that do so many cool things.
um and sometimes those different systems those different connections those different integrations don't always communicate with each other and those can kind of break efficiencies or streamline processes so i think that's that's that's mainly the why
yeah i think so too and i also think because like you said there's so many uh solutions that work with acumatica so many isvs maybe they're doing a phased approach, right? They're doing like, oh, I can only get work on this, these two or three, and then five or six months work on these two or three or five or six months work on another two or three.
So yeah, they could be also be doing this phased approach, but payments should probably be in the top of the list or in phase one, or like you said, as part of the implementation.
It's just kind of sometimes gets forgotten about in the shuffle, like I'm saying, you know, when you're implementing a CRM system or a point of sale system or an e-commerce platform or a mobile solution, right? You're thinking about how all these connections are going to happen.
So when companies delay or underestimate this issue, what tends to break first or quietly go wrong behind the scenes?
Yeah, it's really not so much things that break, right? It's just that processes...
They have to allocate more resources, more human capital to finding payments, reconciling payments, and just figuring out how it's all going to work.
That's really what ultimately ends up happening is when you don't think about it, you don't have a good streamlined integrated payments plan, then humans, people have to take over and And they got to go find the money.
