What Can My Tefila Accomplish?
As we come closer to Yem HaKippurim, it's important to remember what it says in the Sanna Taikev.
We have to appreciate the power of tefillah.
A whole year, of course, we have to appreciate it, but especially when it comes to Yom Kippur.
The power of davening, davening for selicha, davening for various things that we need, davening for yeshuis.
The kayach of tefillah, the power of tefillah is unbelievable, especially when it comes to Yom Kippur.
It's a special eis ratzen.
And every tefillah on Yom Kippur can accomplish much, much more than the rest of the year.
We daven, we do tshuva, and we have to have the proper harocha, the proper appreciation for our tefillah.
We should never underestimate the ability for us to take away gzeiris rachmona l'tzlan from ourselves, from klal Yisrael, the ability to daven for Yeshua is for klal Yisrael, and most importantly, the ability to daven for slicha and kapara.
That's the power of tefillah on Yom Kippur, and tefillah a whole year, but especially on Yom Kippur.
And part of the nesayan is to believe it and to feel it, to understand that our tefillah can accomplish.
Don't think that what you're doing will not do anything.
Don't think that in Shemayim, they don't have a chashivas for your tefillah.
The Rebbeinu Sholeilam appreciates every tefillah, especially a tefillah on Yom Kippur, a tefillah on such and such.
And therefore we should put in the effort to try to have the proper kavona, even if we're fasting, even if we're weak.
Like Chazal say, if not now, when are you going to be able to accomplish it? Yom Kippur is a very unique day.
The abilities that you have are endless.
And we just have to tap into it.
And that should be as our Hashem spill over.
That we should develop an appreciation for our tefillah throughout the year.
And realize that the Rebbeinu Sholelem is Shemea Kol Tefillas Amcha Yisrael.
