That's real because I, you know, the school that I taught at and I was at the longest was a failing school for years.
But there, there was a core of us that ha- that stayed throughout all of that, and we tried to figure it out.
And those of us on the English side and the literacy side, we were like, "How do we get these kids to not only read well, but to want to read?" Because-
... they're, they're never going to read enough if they don't have the joy in there, and it was the same thing-
They're never going to write enough to get that practice in if we don't build that in.
Um, but it was really in the, the, the trial and error of figuring out, you know, do we do time? Do we do it before class? Do, or be- at the beginning, at the end, in the middle? And just, you know, finding all the different ways to incorporate these things.
But eventually you figure out what works for your campus and for your kids and for your teachers.
Um, and, and to have that momentum, uh, I, I feel like that's what's lost in a lot of places today is there's not a lot of building.
There's a lot of figuring out what the heck legislative thing is gonna change, you know, next week.
