So whether it's a picnic or dinner at the table and then the child's responsibility.

For me, I'm not into dishes, so I just plonk the pot straight onto some oven-proof cloths and... that's served into the middle of the table.

And then the kids get to choose what they're going to eat from what is provided.

And with respecting their, you know, generally there's something there that they will eat.

And why this works is that it helps them to know Well, we may not all have stories, but lots of adults have stories about being made to stay at the table until they've finished their plate.

So there isn't a different status between vegetables and chicken or vegetables and potatoes.

You know, one night they might just fill up on a whole plate full of rice or it might be the next night is meat.

And the idea is that And as parents, we can often put a lot of emphasis on dinner.

We have a very fixed perception of what a child should eat for dinner and get fixated on it.

Yes.

But I like to remind parents that your child has eaten five or six meals prior to coming to dinner.

And so it's looking at that overall day and And is there a variety of foods? Is there protein? Is there carbohydrates? I love

this.

So instead of having a meal by meal focus, which so many of us are taught to do, right? Make sure the breakfast has got all the The ingredient in the lunch has got all the ingredients in the dinner.
