Talk Solid Wrestling Season 1 Episode 31: Matthew Sookram

Well, I can honestly say- So we have started now, and, uh, of course, you'll see Crazy Steve here with Jake O'Reilly.

I do wanna talk a little bit about some of the buildup to this.

Um, so if you were following Rock Solid Wrestling at the time of this match up, you would know that there was actually a significant amount of build online for this match because, Matt, you may not be aware of this, but Jake O'Reilly and Crazy Steve, uh, grew up together.

Um, I believe-

Right

...

they, they went to high school together.

Um, so they have a very, very long history with one another.

And-

Was one of them a jock and one of them was a nerd?

[laughs] You know what? I don't think we ever got that real deep into it, but, um, I don't know.

I have to believe that they were both kind of bonded by wrestling, as most of these stories tend to be, but maybe I'm wrong.

I don't know.

Um- Jake O'Reilly ... all I knew was that in the build for it, uh, both Steve and Jake were really playing up the importance of it.

And honestly, um, personally speaking, I think they lived up to the hype, because I can say from a personal standpoint that, uh, this is one of the best matches I've ever seen live in Rock Solid Wrestling.

And, uh, as a matter of fact, you are going to literally see this match through my eyes because if you look down in that, in that little corner there, the guy holding that camera on the ring side might look a little familiar to any of you who know me.

Um, I shot this.

So all of these shots you're seeing right now there against, uh, the close-ups and whatnot in the ring, those are all my shots.

And I, I just remember getting lost in the moment watching this match because I really enjoyed it so much.
