The Healing Home Foundation

But first and foremost, I want to give a big thank you to everyone who came out to our Bedford Centerfest Festival this past weekend here in beautiful downtown Bedford, Virginia.

We had an amazing time.

Amazing day.

Thousands of people hit the streets of downtown Bedford, and we could not be more thankful, not just for us as an organization who puts the event on, but for our vendors.

We had a couple of vendors that completely sold out before the festival was even over.

I know we had one.

vendor that did sourdough, she had to have her husband bring her more inventory twice before she finally was like, I'm done because they were completely out.

And that says a lot.

It says a lot about the support that, you know, people from our area gave us.

And even not from just the Bedford area, we had people that stopped us and said they were in town from Richmond, from Roanoke, from North Carolina, had someone that had come in from Pennsylvania.

So it amazed me to kind of hear from people where they, you know, how far they traveled to come here to this event.

Yeah.

again, big thank you to everyone involved to the town of Bedford for, you know, allowing us to host this event every year and for the support they give us with their public works team and the police department and the electric department and everything that makes it possible.

And then, of course, a big shout out to my staff and all of our volunteers that help us to put the event on.

So, We are already in planning stages for next year.

I did not do anything on Sunday, but Monday kicked in and we were already sending out early bird registrations.

And we've already talked to a band that wants to come out next year.

So I think people don't realize these festivals...

It's not something we just throw together a month beforehand.

It's a year-long planning session to make sure we're making changes and fixing things and adding new things or seeing what worked and what didn't.

And so planning is already underway for 2027, which will be September 18th, by the way, if you want to go ahead and put that on your calendar.

But now we've kind of kicked over into Christmas parade planning.

The Central Virginia Business Coalition hosts not one, not two, but now three Christmas parades in our area.

So if you're out there and you're listening and you're interested in taking part in Bedford's Christmas parade, Lynchburg's Christmas parade, or Appomattox's Christmas parade, you're going to want to shoot me an email at It's heatheratcbabc.org. And we can get you set up for one or all of those parades for you to be a part of.

And I really do encourage, I feel like every year, you know, our parades, the parades are great.
