There is a lot to talk about this week, Utah right now.

I feel like we have not been that hot.

It feels like spring.

We've been in the seventies and eighties after a hot start.

We've not been that warm out there.

It's been windy, but I feel like we are trying to light the entire state on fire.

Are fires political? Yes and no.

We're going to talk about it.

First up, I want to mention that Tooele County's had multiple fires.

One of them, they haven't said, the largest one that's burning on the South Mountain, but two others have been linked to a man who was arrested for arson, who'd been previously arrested, charged, and pleaded guilty to arson.

We had the Capitol Hill fire this week in Salt Lake City.

Right now, the state is saying that the homeless started it.

The city says we don't know.

We're looking into it.

And Mike Lee is creating some controversy over a wildfire bill.

So let's get to it.

Let's talk a little bit about the wildfire bill.

You brought this one up, Representative.

Tell me a little bit about where you stand on this bill, because it's kind of a tug of war between states and the federal government.

Who's in charge of wood? Do we rake the forest? Do we pluck out trees? What do we do?

Well, that's the key.

Wildfires are political.

And look, the federal government owns too much of the state of Utah.

We know that.

They own 65% of this state.
