But, Caitlin, as you know, we are, quote unquote, in week two of the pre-rut, as we're calling it.
So dates between September 8th and 14th.
So I'm wondering, I'm just thinking people will be heading back if anyone came in for Labor Day weekend.
weekend and it looks like there's no moon going into this next week.
So that's exciting.
The elk are spending more time around dusk and dawn versus overnight because they don't have that moonlight.
And so I think things are going to start ramping up around this time and that's where things start to get exciting.
And last year we had seen that the second week did start to get a little bit more excitement for us.
Yeah, they always call this the true pre-rut.
It's that time frame where our big boys, as we talked about last week, they're still chilling in their bowl bedrooms.
They don't really worry about it while we let all the teenage, as we called them last week, bowls to go round up the cows and get involved and they jump in in a establish that dominance in harems.
So what I love about this week is that they're moving around.
Now we don't have to find them.
They're moving.
They're trackable now.
And so we've created so many more opportunities with just their activity.

Yeah, I think the elk are moving.
The bulls are starting to find the cows.
They're starting to get more active, too.
The temperatures are getting cooler.
And so it's less of those quiet, sneaking in kind of bulls, but we're starting to just see... more movement and activity, seeing animals, hearing animals.
And, you know, that was our experience.
And that was, you know, it's just kind of a fun time.
