Pain Is Not the Whole Canvas
Pain can exist without becoming your story

There is always more happening than the story we’ve decided is true. This week, I’m continuing our conversation about freedom by exploring what becomes possible when we widen the lens through which…
the sort of what comes when we discover that freedom from the inside out, which is a lot of what I talked about.
And I wanted to emphasize this, as it's something that I'm really having to personally navigate, and I'm also feeling in the pulse of my people and all those that surround me.
And ultimately, what we see in the world is deeply influenced by what we're carrying within us.
And, you know, it's not about denying reality or forcing this positivity, toxic positivity.
It's about recognizing instead that our inner landscape really shapes what we notice, what we expect, what we interpret.
And I love this idea that what we see in the world is what we have in our heart.
And, you know, as I mentioned last week, and if you didn't get to check it out, you're golden, but you can dive deeper if you want to really get into the freedom piece.
And, you know, the discovery that even when circumstances can feel restrictive, there is a freedom available that doesn't have to wait for the thing to be right or whatever that dynamic is, right? And you can kind of dive deeper if you want to and check that episode out if you haven't.
And I wanted to sort of, I guess, thread the needle with if freedom can begin within us, what else changes? when we change what's happening within us or inside of us, right? Because ultimately, we don't experience the world as it is.
We really do experience the world through who we are while we're looking at it.
And while when we contemplate it, it might seem obvious, when you really take a moment to sit with that, it's amazing what starts to just be revealed.
And, you know, the lens through which we see really defines the way we live and how we show up.
And I have literally been moving through quite the season, for those of you who've been tracking, with so much disappointment.
I mean, physical limitation, uncertainty, circumstances that I never would have chosen, you know.
And without going into detail, basically the cast that, you know, for my wrist fracture was wrongly cast.
And if you can imagine my left hand, that's my primary hand, I'm not able to use properly now.
