**A bad moment can ruin the next one if you keep dragging it with you.** One evening in London, I managed to make two mistakes in the same night. First, I bought movie tickets for the wrong day. I…
We decided one evening to catch a movie at the cinema, so I bought tickets online, and we all showed up.
At the cinema is where I realized I had bought tickets for the wrong day, and I was embarrassed.
We're traveling as a family, and I'm the one who bought the tickets, and now everyone is standing there because of my mistake.
They refunded the tickets, and I was able to get the same movie at a sister cinema across the street less than an hour later.
So we just got some stuff to eat, let the kids look around at a store nearby, and then we saw the movie.
We got back to our flat later that evening, and that's when we realized something else.
So now we have to call the person who we're renting this flat from and figure out how to get back inside.
The kids were giving us a hard time, and honestly, it would've been really easy for us to let the whole night become, "What else can go wrong?" Here's what I've learned about frustration.
We carry it into the next conversation, the next meal, the next hour, sometimes even the next day.
