What’s New in Streaming - October 17, 2026

We'll start with Netflix and Dragon Ball Super Beerus, season one, coming October 17th.

When Beerus, the god of destruction... awakens in search of a worthy rival.

Goku and his friends face an epic battle to stop him from destroying Earth.

On October 18th, we have Extraordinary Attorney Minami, Season 1.

In this Japanese adaptation of the Korean series, Minami has extraordinary memory and a unique perspective, and she takes on challenges in and out of the courtroom as a rookie lawyer on the autism spectrum.

This is obviously a remake of the K-drama Extraordinary Attorney Woo, which I've previously praised on this show, so I'm really excited about this.

Next up is the new Stanford Prison Experiment, coming October 21st.

You know that experiment that went totally off the rails and taught us about man's inhumanity to man? Yeah, we're going to do that again.

Woo-hoo!

Good job, Netflix.

Yep.

On October 22nd, it's Did Someone Happen to Mention Me? Season 1.

Once Japan's most renowned stage actor, Gen is suddenly forgotten.

Fueled by a need for recognition, he calls his way back from zero in this comedy.

Also on October 22nd is Nobody Wants This? Season 3.

Joanne and Noah take their relationship to the next level amid sibling drama, maternal meddling, and one giant leap of faith.

This is, of course, the romantic comedy starring Kristen Bell and Adam Brody, which had a very rocky first season, but the ratings were very strong, presumably based on the cast.

And once they brought in a new creative team, they're into season three.

So I guess it worked out for everyone.

On October 23rd, it's fading grandeur.

In this six-episode Spanish series, a fallen marquise who is desperate to sell his crumbling mansion tries to make a deal with a charming yet mysterious millionaire who has her own agenda.

Also on October 23rd is Lupin Part 4.

After four years behind bars, Ahsan is ready to leave his past behind and start over until a copycat forces him to become Lupin once again.

Next up is Paralyzed by Hope, the Maria Bamford story.

Beloved for her blurring performance in Personal Crisis, Bamford unpacks the mental health journey behind her fearless comedy in this documentary.
