Cynthia Teniente-MatsonGuestSo welcome to Straight Forward, a podcast about Taiwan, the island at the center of technological innovation and the global fight for democracy.
I'm your host, Channing Lee, and I'm honored to be here in Orlando with some distinguished guests, both on stage with me and across the room.
Specifically here, we are here to celebrate the 2026 US-Taiwan Semiconductor Higher Education Networking Event.
Again, hosted here in Orlando, bringing together leaders from both Taiwanese universities and American universities to celebrate the next era of U.S.-Taiwan education partnership.
This event, of course, was organized by Taiwan's Ministry of Education, AIT, the American Institute in Taiwan, the Foundation for International Cooperation in Higher Education, Taiwan, FUCHET, the American Association of State Colleges and Universities, ASCU, all in service of the U.S.-Taiwan Education Initiative.
I'm really honored here today to be able to get in the weeds of what it means for the U.S. and Taiwan to truly have an education partnership.
